Of all the GPs with OFA numbers, 25% are from Windamir des Charmettes

Windamir des Charmettes has more OFA numbers on our dogs than any other German Pinscher breeder. We have been x-raying our German Pinschers' hips since the 1990s starting with our imports. We have found that German Pinschers as a breed have good hips but testing is important to keep it that way.

We currently have over 50 German Pinschers with OFA numbers: de la Capellier, des Charmettes, Windamir, and our imports. Of all the German Pinschers with OFA numbers, 25% are from Windamir des Charmettes.

As soon as we became aware of the concerns with eyes in the breed, we began CERF testing our stock in the 1990s. Additionally, we were in the forefront of vWD testing (all our dogs were clear) by providing the initial German Pinschers to build a bench mark. We feel our current breeding stock is therefore clear by heritage. Also, we feel that the GP as a breed is relatively clear of vWD.

We encourage buyers to take their puppies to the vet during the first week to ensure themselves of the health of the puppy. We will always take a pup back if ever a problem is found.
